Product Software Engineer

Overview

Product Software Engineer (Full Stack Developer) to build enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs and SQL Server, delivering scalable, secure and reliable software across the application lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Build and enhance Java/Spring applications, microservices and REST APIs.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable and secure software solutions.
• Work with SQL Server databases, including query optimization and performance improvements.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure application reliability and quality.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and Agile ceremonies.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools and validate AI-generated outputs for quality, security and maintainability.
• Contribute to automation, engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Microservices and REST API development.
• SQL Server or other relational databases.
• JUnit and Mockito.
• Git and CI/CD practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Nice to have

• Playwright, Selenium or Tosca.
• qTest or similar test management tools.
• Generative AI and AI-driven engineering workflows.
• Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Docker and Kubernetes.

• Location: Chennai, Neville Towers, India.
• Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office as part of the recruitment process.
