Software Engineer III

Overview

Software Engineer III on the Sabre Hotels team, developing and maintaining the platform that supports the Hotels distribution needs of Travel Network partners. The platform connects 170,000+ hotels to large online and offline travel agencies, and its applications are high volume, multi-instance and critical.

What you'll do

• Support development of new features and functions, including rewriting small parts of the system.
• Improve system quality and stability through regular maintenance tasks.
• Plan and execute projects and deliver production-ready software to customers.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of related industry experience in developing production-ready Java applications.
• Hands-on programming experience and expertise in Java, JEE and Spring technologies, with proven experience delivering and maintaining production software.
• Good understanding of design patterns; strong OOA/OOD skills are a must.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Web services, XSLT, SOAP, REST and JSON.
• Experience with Hibernate/Spring JDBC, SQL and data persistence in general.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies and Test Driven Development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be a good team player.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Java memory analysis and Performance Engineering.
• Experience in Cloud.
• Experience in AI coding tools.
• Experience in one or more Linux scripting languages.
