Product Software Engineer II

Overview

Product Software Engineer II focused on engineering complex, rich-interaction user interfaces for product teams in Disney’s Ad Platforms.

What you'll do

• Provide hands-on UI engineering across various product teams.
• Collaborate with leads to design and architect cloud-native, service-oriented UI components.
• Design complex applications, perform peer code reviews, and suggest optimizations.
• Champion quality engineering practices to enable continuous deployment (linting, unit testing, web UI testing, pipeline automation).
• Contribute to design system standards and adoption with product teams.
• Investigate and resolve production UI issues through the service layer.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or another technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in web application development or software engineering in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience with React and Next.js.
• Fluency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including native DOM interfaces, Web APIs, WebSocket protocol, and REST patterns.
• Experience designing performant RESTful services leveraging SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on DevOps experience with AWS, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes/Helm.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Previous work experience in digital advertising.
• Experience working with vendor teams to deliver high quality results.
