Overview
Product Stewardship Specialist I ensures compliance and continuity of product and business activities by managing hazard communication and regulatory processes.
What you'll do
- Prepare and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels to reflect compositions/properties and regional regulatory requirements.
- Manage material introduction, classifications, and labeling including dangerous goods classification with SME inputs.
- Support Notification of Change (NOC) and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Provide regulatory approval in material master workflow for product creation, product extension, and product translation.
- Contribute to SAP data management and support systems for product/substance data management.
- Respond to routine customer inquiries using standardized responses and processes.
What you'll need
- Hold a Bachelor’s of Engineering/Pharmacy or a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Science, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent.
- Have at least 6+ years of relevant experience in a chemical/petrochemical or related industry.
- Have 3+ years of experience in Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance, or Environmental Health and Safety/Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene (or other applicable experience).
- Have SDS authoring experience with a good understanding of GHS and applicable regional regulations.
- Be able to define requirements and implement processes in systems/tools relevant to the function.
- Have good English verbal, written, and presentation skills and be computer literate in standard office systems.
