Project Cost Analyst

Overview

Project Cost Analyst supporting project managers and engineering leads with cost controls, forecasts, reporting, and project management services for electric utility transmission and distribution projects.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain project budgets for transmission and distribution projects.
• Apply earned value management techniques to align forecasts and costs.
• Develop recovery plans to keep projects within approved limits.
• Track team utilization metrics and address utilization concerns.
• Track and execute client deliverables with engineering leads and managers.
• Produce weekly and monthly project control reports.
• Maintain project dashboards and KPI tracking.

What you'll need

• Three or more years of relevant project controls or cost analysis experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience planning, organizing, directing, and tracking technical efforts.
• Ability to track cost and schedule status.
• Ability to interact effectively with customer representatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Recent, in-depth expertise in electric power infrastructure projects.
• Experience with transmission, substation, or distribution design.
• Previous experience working with AEP.

• Remote/teleworker in the United States.
• Pay range: $52,000–$94,000 per year.
