Python Software Engineer

Overview

Develop enterprise-grade Python applications and automation solutions for Oil IT commercial engineering. Deliver new Python-based solutions, support and enhance existing automation processes, and migrate suitable UiPath/RPA solutions to Python.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Python applications and automation solutions.
• Migrate suitable UiPath/RPA processes into scalable Python-based implementations.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve production issues while ensuring application stability and performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and product teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and code quality standards.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need

• 4 - 7 years of experience.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications using Python.
• Proven experience in Python development with experience delivering enterprise applications.
• Experience with REST API development, data processing, and automation solutions.
• Good understanding of software engineering best practices, including source control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience supporting production applications and resolving critical issues in enterprise environments.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.

Nice to have

• Experience with UiPath or other Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms.
• Experience migrating automation workflows from RPA platforms to Python.
• Knowledge of enterprise automation frameworks and digital transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.
