Overview
As a Software Engineer, build, maintain and troubleshoot software and services that power technology solutions. Work with engineers and stakeholders to ensure software is highly available, scalable and secure.
What you'll do
- Design, build and maintain technology software features and infrastructure.
- Ensure software and services are highly available, scalable and secure.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the platform to identify potential issues and make recommendations for improvements.
- Integrate systems with external and internal services and APIs, facilitating data exchange and interoperability.
- Collaborate with platform and services teams to identify and resolve complex problems.
- Write clean, secure, maintainable and well-tested code adhering to industry standards.
- Design test automation using unit and integration testing frameworks.
- Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of the engineering team.
- Write software design and operational support documentation.
- Build and scale infrastructure services using Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
- Troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems.
- Support production systems through on-call rotations.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in application development and support environments with more than one technology and multiple design techniques.
- Capability in at least one programming language: C#, Java, Python or TypeScript, developing cross-platform solutions.
- Capability to design services, platforms and APIs focusing on RESTful and GraphQL for seamless communication with the front end.
- Capability to write secure, stable, testable and maintainable code with minimal defects.
- Capability to use computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms and systems design.
- Capability in software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations.
- Capability to build complex software systems end-to-end that have been optimally delivered and operated in production.
- Understanding of security and privacy best practices and how to monitor, log and alarm production systems.
- Capability to build and scale infrastructure services using Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of core cloud application infrastructure services including identity platforms, networking, storage, databases, containers and serverless.
- Knowledge of databases, such as relational, graph, document and key-value.
- Ability in data modeling and database design.
- Capability in SQL.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes and work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving ability, including analyzing complex problems, identifying root causes and developing creative and effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with peers through to senior leaders.
- Ability to engage and influence others to collect requirements, describe what you’re doing, work through problems and find productive solutions.
- Ability to handle ambiguity, navigate uncertainty, identify risks and find the right people and tools to get the job done.
Nice to have
- Capability in TypeScript and JavaScript and adeptness at using front-end frameworks like React and/or Angular, including implementing scalable front-end components.
- Passion for learning both technical and soft skills.

- Location: Pune, India.
- This position is not available for remote working.
- No travel is expected with this role.
- The role is eligible for relocation within country.
