Quality Assurance Analyst

Overview

The Analyst - QA ensures the quality of software delivered by the IT Applications Team through manual and automated testing, ensuring that software functions as expected by end users and complies with Ryan standards.

What you'll do

• Provide feedback to Business Analysts to ensure requirements clearly and specifically convey business needs.
• Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
• Develop, execute and maintain test plans.
• Read and translate requirements into meaningful manual and automated test cases.
• Execute test plans and provide meaningful feedback on results.
• Work with Application developers to resolve issues and document bugs.
• Use Jira to document issues and enhancements in the appropriate manner.
• Maintain a testing schedule across multiple software applications to ensure prompt feedback to developers.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all testing activities.
• Assume responsibility for the quality and compliance with standards and requirements for all Ryan applications.
• Alert the Product team to potential issues in a constant feedback loop.
• Perform regression testing of the applications during application release.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems is preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Two to three years of hands-on administration experience with Software Quality Assurance and issue documentation.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and attitude.
• Valid driver's license required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL is a plus.

• Location: Hyderabad, India.
• Standard indoor working environment.
• Occasional long periods of sitting while working at a computer.
• Regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors as necessary.
• Independent travel requirement: less than 10%.
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
