Overview
Support the coordination, execution, and ownership of quality strategy, automation, and engineering excellence across Aladdin platforms, with a focus on Wealth Management and Asset Management workflows. Enable and implement automation-first, AI-enabled quality engineering for scalable, resilient, and audit-ready delivery of financial systems.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and backend layers using modern automation frameworks.
- Execute automation-first testing practices for early defect detection, faster feedback cycles, and high-quality software delivery.
- Design and optimize regression test suites to improve execution reliability, reduce maintenance effort, and increase release confidence.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and quality engineers to understand requirements, identify quality risks, and ensure comprehensive validation.
- Analyse test results and drive defect resolution by investigating failures, reporting issues clearly, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Own and evolve test framework architecture, including UI automation, API testing, and backend testing including APIs and Messaging services.
- Implement robust error reporting, failure analysis, and test result assurance mechanisms.
- Leverage Artificial Intelligence to improve test design, execution, testing-cycle acceleration, and overall product quality.
- Use AI to augment test automation, including code generation, coverage, and maintenance optimisation.
- Apply AI insights for failure analysis and categorisation, root cause analysis, and additional automation tasks.
- Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for Quality Engineering innovation.
- Contribute to AI-first quality engineering practices by adopting and promoting tools and techniques such as Spec Engineering and Token Optimisation.
What you'll need
- B.E., B.Tech., or MCA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject area.
- 4+ years of proven experience in Software Quality Assurance in a financial services firm, such as Investment Banking or Asset Management.
- Experience writing manual tests, including positive and negative tests.
- Experience in test automation development and execution.
- Good exposure to testing methodologies, test plans, test strategy, RTM, and test estimation.
- Experience with UI testing.
- Solid understanding of one or more programming languages: TypeScript, Java, C#, Go, or other listed languages.
Nice to have
- Playwright for UI automation.
- Knowledge and exposure to nonfunctional testing such as Performance, Security, and Chaos testing.
- TypeScript.
Details
- Location: Mumbai, India.
- Hybrid work model requiring at least 4 days in the office per week, with flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
- Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
