Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

Quality Assurance Engineer role at Amex GBT in Bangalore, India, focused on test planning, test automation and quality tracking for .NET web and Windows applications hosted in the cloud.

What you'll do

• Prepare detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Plan and coordinate testing activities, thoroughly identifying and documenting bugs.
• Build and execute automation scripts using the GBT approved tool set.
• Organize testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Review debugging process results.
• Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Analyze the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
• Maintain relevant knowledge about new testing tools and test strategies.

What you'll need

• Experienced with Selenium with .NET, SOAPUI, Postman, JMETER tools.
• Proficient with testing of .NET Web and Windows applications hosted on a cloud environment.
• Good working experience in test management, automation, planning and execution.
• At least 5+ years of experience as .NET technology and application testing.
• Experienced in AI development toolkit such as Claude, Co-Pilot etc.
• Knowledge of various test design patterns.
• Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and methodologies.
• Experienced with .NET tech stack and SQL Server.
• Knowledge of cloud native applications and development practices (Azure preferable).
• Ability to track and manage project tasks and deliverables to successful closure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and/or experience working in an Agile delivery environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related discipline.
• ITIL or other service management frameworks.
• Knowledge of travel industry and travel related technologies.
