Overview
Quality Engineer – Incoming Inspection (IQC) ensures incoming materials, components, and products meet quality requirements and customer specifications.
What you'll do
- Inspect incoming materials and components for physical defects, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with drawings and standards.
- Verify incoming materials meet required quantity and quality requirements.
- Record, maintain, and communicate incoming inspection results on time.
- Create and maintain incoming inspection sampling plans based on product criticality and supplier performance.
- Review and ensure supplier documentation (e.g., MTCs, inspection reports) is accurate and submitted on time.
- Lead supplier CAPA activities and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct internal audits and supplier quality assessments for compliance.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (preferably in manufacturing/metal-mechanical/valve/pump/heavy engineering).
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, material specifications, and customer technical requirements.
- Experience in supplier quality management, incoming inspection, and quality documentation review.
- Proficiency in RCA and corrective action methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with NDE methods including VT, MT, UT, PT, RT, PMI, and hardness testing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
