Quality Engineering Lead

Overview

Lead a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration, driving quality across the application lifecycle through automated testing.

What you'll do

• Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle.
• Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies.
• Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, TestNG and Selenium.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for RESTful services (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE).
• Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Actively work on production incident analysis, root cause identification, and validation of fixes.
• Enhance and optimize existing test automation frameworks for scalability and reusability.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams for quality improvements.
• Maintain test reports, metrics, and automation execution dashboards.

What you'll need

• Automated Testing skill (must have).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Automated Testing.
• 15 years full time education.
• Strong scripting and programming skills.
• Hands on experience with Rest Assured for API automation.
• Experience with TestNG / Junit / BDD / Cucumber.
• Solid understanding of End-to-End Application testing concepts (authentication, headers, payloads, JSON validation).
• Experience in performance testing (JMeter preferred).
• Hands on experience handling production issues/incidents.
• Experience in enhancing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, version control (Git), and build tools (Maven/Gradle).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work independently and in cross functional teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of BDD (Cucumber).
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS / Azure).
• Experience with monitoring/log analysis tools.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
