R&D Senior Engineer

Overview

R&D Senior Engineer contributing to technology, software, product, and/or solution development and associated Intellectual Property (IP), supporting the Electrification business in Distribution Solution at Nashik, India.

What you'll do

• Act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance.
• Identify, propose, and implement innovative solutions.
• Maintain recognized expertise in a specific area by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work.
• Find new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them.
• Document work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them.
• Understand and initiate IP generation in your area of specialization and participate in the project IP strategy development.

What you'll need

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering (should be full-time).
• Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in the design and development of indoor or outdoor circuit breakers.
• Hands-on experience in circuit breaker kinematic chain design, mechanism concept development, preparation of designs and drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and associated procedures.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Pro/ENGINEER (Pro-E), Creo, or SolidWorks, and PLM systems such as Windchill.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
