Regional Payroll Specialist

Overview

Own and coordinate payroll operations across multiple countries, entities, and employment arrangements. Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while statutory requirements and payroll controls are maintained.

What you'll do

• Manage monthly payroll cycles across multiple countries and entities.
• Prepare and validate salaries, employee changes, bonuses, allowances, deductions, and leave inputs.
• Review payroll calculations and reports for accuracy before approval.
• Coordinate with payroll vendors, EOR partners, HR, and Finance teams.
• Manage statutory taxes, social contributions, pensions, and other mandatory requirements.
• Reconcile payroll outputs with HR and Finance records.
• Build and improve payroll processes, controls, calendars, and reporting.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of hands-on payroll experience.
• Knowledge of end-to-end payroll operations and statutory requirements.
• Experience working with external payroll providers or EOR partners.
• Strong attention to detail with sensitive employee and compensation data.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Ability to manage multiple payroll calendars, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting payroll across Asia, Europe, the UK, or the US.
• Experience in a fast-growing technology company or international startup.
• Experience implementing or migrating payroll or HRIS systems.
• Familiarity with multi-entity payroll, EOR arrangements, or distributed teams.
• Experience supporting payroll audits, statutory reporting, or payroll accounting.
