Overview

Research Engineer / Research Scientist role on OpenAI’s Personalization-Memory team, working on memory architecture, post-training, and long-horizon tasks for training and evaluations.

What you'll do

• Own and pursue a research agenda to improve long-horizon memory and personalization.
• Build robust evaluations to track modeling improvements.
• Design, implement, test, and debug code across the research stack.
• Collaborate with research and product teams to shape technical solutions in the product.

What you'll need

• Background in reinforcement learning research.
• Ability to iterate quickly.
• Comfort diving into a large ML codebase to debug.
• Ability to convert scientific rigor and long-term research into product impact.
