SAP ABAP Senior Technical Developer Analyst-I

Overview

Sr. SAP Business Analyst role in the SAP Enhancements Team, focused on continuously improving and transforming the global SAP landscape, with emphasis on Sales & Distribution (SD) and Order Management (OM) and SAP ABAP enhancement development.

What you'll do

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, assess enhancement requests, and perform impact analysis.
• Translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions and facilitate requirement discussions.
• Analyze O2C processes and design SAP solutions.
• Work with developers on implementation, review test results, and resolve functional defects.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and engage stakeholders on delivery status and priorities.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate manual activities, improve user experience, automate business processes, and leverage new SAP capabilities and emerging technologies.
• Work on SAP ABAP enhancement development from requirement analysis through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop and maintain complex WRICEF objects including Reports, Workflows, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
• Perform technical impact analysis, estimation, debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Follow SAP coding standards, development best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Design scalable technical solutions and collaborate with functional consultants, architects, business users, and other IT teams.
• Perform SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, deployment, and production issue resolution.
• Perform code reviews and ensure performance, quality, security, and maintainability of ABAP developments.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities including estimation, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and delivery tracking.
• Collaborate effectively with business end users, functional consultants, developers, architects, and testing teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior ABAP developers.
• Communicate technical solutions, risks, dependencies, and recommendations effectively.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience with strong SAP enhancement expertise.
• Deep knowledge of ABAP and WRICEF, including Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
• Strong experience with OOPs ABAP, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, Implicit Enhancements, DDIC, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, and Interfaces/Proxies.
• Experience with ABAP on HANA, CDS, AMDP, and Table Functions.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with business users and cross-functional technical teams.
• Fluent English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Understanding of SAP FI, MM/WM, PP, QM or other business processes.
• SAP S/4HANA experience.
• OData and SAP Fiori.
• SAP Certification.
• Experience with ServiceNow/Jira.
• Exposure to automation, AI-enabled SAP solutions, or SAP BTP.
• Experience working in a global organization with multiple SAP landscapes.
