SAP BTP Integration Suite Operations Engineer

Overview

Operate and administer SAP Integration Suite services on SAP BTP, ensuring platform health, availability and performance through monitoring and operational management.

What you'll do

• Manage incidents, problems and operational support activities.
• Perform platform configuration and lifecycle management.
• Coordinate platform maintenance, upgrades and patching.
• Ensure monitoring, observability and operational readiness.
• Manage tenant configuration, certificates, connectivity and security.
• Support capacity planning and platform optimization.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis, Infrastructure, Integration teams and vendors.
• Drive continuous operational improvements by following Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to enhance platform stability, efficiency and service quality.
• Debug and resolve issues across UI and backend services, analyze logs, traces and runtime errors, and fix bugs in live applications.
• Handle production support and escalations, alert handling, and multiple customer tickets simultaneously.
• Provide clear and structured RCA documentation.

What you'll need

• 8+ years in SAP Integration, SAP BTP, or Middleware Operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP services.
• Strong operational experience with SAP Integration Suite.
• Experience with SAP BTP administration.
• Experience with incident, problem and change management.
• Experience working with SAPUI5/Fiori applications.
• Hands-on experience with CAPM (Node.js) development and support.
• Essential: knowledge of SAP Document Management Service (DMS).
• Essential: experience with SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS).
• Experience with IAS integration, SSO configurations, role collections and user role management in SAP BTP.
• Knowledge of OAuth, SAML and token-based authentication.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for application deployment, hands-on experience with Git for version control, and experience managing deployments across multiple environments.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts.
• Understanding of application architecture covering frontend, backend and service layers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to independently investigate and resolve complex issues.
• Proactive mindset with ownership of issues and escalations.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with global teams and customers.
• Good understanding of support processes and incident management.

Nice to have

• SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) experience.
• SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, API Management and Event Mesh.
• ITIL, SRE and DevOps knowledge.
• Monitoring and observability tools.
