Job Description:

Param is seeking a passionate and inventive Science Prototyper & Events Facilitator to join our Programming team. In this role, you will design and build hands-on science prototypes and exhibits while also leading outreach events at schools and colleges. You will play a vital role in bridging science concepts with engaging experiences that spark curiosity, onboard new community members, and strengthen Param’s outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and display prototypes and exhibits that demonstrate science phenomena and concepts in schools, colleges, and community spaces.

Collaborate with curators to ideate and develop prototypes in unexplored areas of physics and biology.

Prepare weekly Mystery Boxes and monthly books for PARSEC to extend learning beyond events.

Facilitate engaging events, workshops, and demonstrations at schools and colleges to inspire students and teachers.

Act as a community connector by communicating effectively with diverse audiences—children, college students, and professors.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Background in science, science communication, or related fields with a strong interest in hands-on experimentation.

Proven ability in facilitating events, workshops, or public engagement activities.

Strong communication and oratory skills, with comfort in addressing diverse audiences across age groups.

Creative and resourceful approach to prototyping and making—able to turn concepts into tangible experiences.

Curiosity and passion for exploring new science phenomena, especially in physics and biology.

Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities, including event facilitation and prototype preparation.

Enthusiasm for building community through science engagement and outreach.
