Security Engineer, Detection & Response

Overview

Security Engineer in Detection & Response responsible for monitoring for threats, investigating incidents, and coordinating response across teams.

What you'll do

• Lead incident response efforts across external attacks to insider threats across the technology stack.
• Develop and deploy tooling that may use Large Language Models to enhance detection, investigation, and response.
• Create and optimize detections, playbooks, and workflows to identify and respond to potential incidents.
• Review incident response metrics and procedures and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with security and engineering teams.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with security experience a plus.
• And/or 5+ years of detection engineering, incident response, or threat hunting experience.
• Understanding of cloud environments and operations.
• Experience working with engineering teams in a SaaS environment.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead projects with little guidance.
• Knowledge of EDR, SIEM, SOAR, or related security tools.
• Experience handling security incidents and investigating anomalies as part of a team.

Details

• Annual salary range: $300,000–$405,000 USD.
• Hybrid policy: expected to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time.
