Security Engineer I, Information Technology

Overview

Security Engineer I will strengthen and optimize the organization’s security capabilities by improving cloud security architecture, integrating security platforms, and analyzing security events for anomalous activity.

What you'll do

• Review existing tools, applications, and processes to identify security gaps.
• Establish and maintain cloud security architecture best practices.
• Integrate new and existing security platforms.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to maintain a secure architecture.
• Analyze security events and contribute to organizational security posture.
• Design, implement, and manage security solutions to protect internal and third-party systems and customer data.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of relevant experience in security engineering and GRC-focused security solutions development.
• Deep understanding of security standards and frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
• Hands-on experience with security tools including IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing platforms.
• Experience securing cloud platforms and cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, or Alibaba).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Proven expertise in cryptography including encryption and key management.

• Location: Remote - Hungary.
• Availability: Must be available for after-hours incident response for urgent security events.
