Overview
Security engineer role focused on securing Wiz’s products, CI/CD, and production infrastructure across cloud-native and Kubernetes environments.
What you'll do
- Lead threat modeling and security reviews across Wiz products and cloud infrastructure.
- Build automation, policy-as-code, and security tooling to enable “shift left” security.
- Design and implement secure baselines for cloud resources and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
- Drive vulnerability management and remediation, including preventative controls in software supply chains.
- Extend detection and response capabilities by identifying malicious activity, triaging alerts, and investigating incidents.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience in security engineering or security operations in cloud environments.
- Experience with AWS cloud security (or equivalent Azure/GCP experience with some AWS).
- Experience with Kubernetes services (EKS/GKE/AKS) and container security principles.
- Experience securing IAM and cloud identities at scale.
- Experience conducting threat modeling and translating findings into actionable security controls.
- Practical understanding of web application security concepts such as OWASP Top-10.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, or Pulumi.
- Experience with automation/tooling development in Python, Go, Shell, HCL, or Rego.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with remote, globally distributed teams.
- Experience in companies that develop software and/or operate managed infrastructure/services for customers.
- Experience with CNAPP, CSPM, or CIEM solutions.
