Security Engineer (Support)

Overview

Security Support Engineer responsible for managing the information security ticketing process, providing tier 1 and tier 2 support, and coordinating responses to security tickets.

What you'll do

• Manage an information security ticketing system for security incidents and requests.
• Monitor ticket queues and track progress to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide initial triage for security events and escalate to the SecOps team.
• Deliver technical support for security-related issues for end-users and internal teams.
• Document resolutions and workarounds to build a knowledge base.
• Continuously improve ticket management practices and generate ticket metrics reports.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years of experience in IT support, security operations, or a related field.
• Experience managing ticketing systems.
• Strong understanding of information security principles and common security threats.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot security incidents and issues effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ and/or ITIL are a plus.
