Senior Accountant

Overview

Senior Accountant role on the Cash Reconciliation team within Clarivate's Global Accounting Function, submitting OneStream reconciliations for all Clarivate subsidiaries.

What you'll do

• Perform cash reconciliations using bank statements to compare entries with ledger reports and finalise month-end reconciliations in the standard format.
• Manage complex and voluminous bank accounts and month-end OneStream submissions and process time-sensitive reporting.
• Thoroughly analyse and reconcile pending items and communicate them effectively.
• Clear reconciling items and perform month-end accounting and reporting activities.
• Prepare and post all monthly accrual entries and reclass entries pertaining to assigned reconciliations.
• Coordinate with peer groups (Cash Application, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Operations and other stakeholders) for smooth flow of operations.
• Liaise with Controllers and other departments to resolve accounting issues and queries from internal and external stakeholders related to reconciliation matters.
• Escalate issues on a timely basis to facilitate quick resolution.
• Identify areas of improvement in processes, systems and reports and report them to the Manager.
• Be open to taking up any General Accounting function role, including O2C, IC, FA, Lease and Commission, Bank and Shuffle, as per business needs.

What you'll need

• B.Com graduate, MBA Finance, or CA Inter with a relevant accounting background.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Global Accounting with good exposure to General Accounting practices and principles.
• End-user experience with accounting ERP software such as NetSuite or Oracle R12.
• Good exposure to cash reconciliation processes and clearing reconciling items, along with month-end accounting and reporting activities.
• Internal control and SOX compliance/audit knowledge.
• Advanced computer literacy in MS Office products, especially MS Excel (a must-have).
• Proven track record in General Accounting, Reconciliation, Reporting and Month Closure activities.
• Proactive, willing to learn and follow, adaptable, clear in accounting concepts, approachable, a team player and self-starter, with strong timeliness.
• Open to taking up challenges and ready to deliver on critical timelines.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle or similar ERP platforms and OneStream.

• Permanent role with Clarivate.
• Shift time: 11 AM to 8 PM; 9 hours per day including a 1-hour lunch break.
