Senior Analyst

Overview

Senior Analyst role on NAB's technology and integration team at NAB Innovation Centre India, focused on ETL development, data analysis and system integration for a financial services organisation.

What you'll do

• Participate in system design, including production of system and program documentation and ongoing maintenance.
• Develop solutions and specifications so that agreed requirements can be converted into functional systems.
• Develop, program and code technology applications software solutions to meet agreed specifications; improve, enhance and correct systems as necessary.
• Achieve key Systems Development Life Cycle stages in terms of quantity, timing and quality of all aspects of work allocated.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures.
• Contribute to post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of the solution provided.
• Provide key support on fail and fix for assigned applications.
• Develop, execute and support comprehensive reusable test scripts and scenarios based on testing plan in accordance with standard procedures and templates.
• Complete initial diagnosis of problems for a system or sub-system, or apply known solutions, including documenting problems, progress checking and escalation to ensure resolution.
• Comply with project plans, industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What you'll need

• Tertiary qualification in a technology related degree.
• 8-10 years of technology experience in the relevant domains.
• Experience with ETL tools, particularly Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
• 5+ years scripting experience, preferably PERL and Python.
• 8+ years of Oracle experience, SQL and stored procedures.
• Strong experience on ETL development and data analysis.
• Experience working with Agile teams.
• Excellent problem analysis and investigation skills.
• Experience working with Control-M scheduling and job configuration changes.
• Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Database 19c, Sybase IQ, Control-M.
• JIRA/RALLY, GitHub, ODI/ETL tools, platform mind-set.
• Advanced Linux/Unix skills, data tracing and analytical capabilities.
• Financial services sector knowledge.
• Experience in providing technology client service.
• Proven ability to use relevant data analytics approaches and tools to problem-solve and trouble-shoot.
• Knowledge and experience with build languages.
• Focus on quality and detail; excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to quality and auditability.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders and understand their needs to ensure quality and governance standards are met.
