Senior Associate – Azure Data Engineer, Advisory

Overview

Work in PwC’s Data and Analytics services to design and build data infrastructure, pipelines, integrations and transformations, with a focus on SAP BW4HANA, SAP Datasphere migration and enterprise reporting solutions.

What you'll do

• Develop end-to-end SAP BW4HANA models using ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS views, Transformations, BEX Queries, Native HANA and HANA Analysis processes.
• Expose BW models as HANA views and work with mixed scenarios.
• Apply LSA++ standard methodology and performance optimization concepts.
• Handle complex transformations using ABAP.
• Work with BEx Query Designer, Customer Exits Variables, Roles and Authorization.
• Develop data extraction, custom logic, enhancements and performance optimization using ABAP.
• Lead or contribute to BW to SAP Datasphere migration/conversion initiatives, including object assessment, data model redesign using Datasphere best practices, and validation and reconciliation of migrated data.
• Optimize data models for performance, scalability and future extensibility.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects and analytics teams to understand reporting and data requirements.
• Support integration with SAP Analytics Cloud and other reporting/BI tools.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Ensure compliance with SAP standards, security and data governance guidelines.
• Map business requirements to technical architecture design and data models.
• Analyse and recommend improvements to currently deployed systems.
• Design and provide solutions to applications in all stages of the SDLC.
• Communicate complex technical constructs to business and non-technical users.
• Drive workshops with the business to gather requirements and translate them into SAP Enterprise solutions.

What you'll need

• 5-9 years of relevant experience.
• BE, B.Tech, ME, M.Tech, MBA or MCA with 60% above.
• Excellent technical know-how and hands-on experience in SAP BW4HANA, HANA View and ABAP.
• SAP BW4HANA and BWonHana expertise in modelling, extraction and reporting.
• Data modelling experience with ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS and BEx Queries.
• Knowledge of SAP and non-SAP extraction and LSA++ methodology.
• ABAP and SQL skills, including AMDP, BADIs and debugging.
• Strong SQL experience and AMDP Scripts, including Start, End, Exit, Expert and Field Routines.
• Experience with Function Modules and BADIs and ability to debug ABAP code.
• Functional knowledge of SAP modules including SD, MM, Inventory, FICO, PS, PM and HR.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and system architecture.
• Experience with a BW4HANA to Datasphere migration project.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and oral interpersonal skills for interaction with multinational clients.
• Ability to communicate complex technical constructs to business and non-technical users.
• Advanced knowledge of distributed, heterogeneous scalable systems design.
• Ability to work under tight and strict timelines.
