Senior Associate - KYC/AML

Overview

Senior Associate role focused on identifying, assessing and managing operational, legal and reputational risks within Vialto's professional services, with a focus on compliance with laws, regulations and industry standards.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with the Risk and Compliance team to assess potential risks in professional services operations, including legal matters, engagements, and client relationships.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential operational, legal, and reputational risks, working closely with stakeholders for a comprehensive understanding of risk factors.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, policies, and procedures that align with industry best practices, legal requirements, and internal standards.
• Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting our business, providing proactive guidance for compliance and risk avoidance.
• Participate in the review and negotiation of client contracts and engagements, identifying and addressing potential risk exposures in collaboration with legal and business teams.
• Assist in developing and executing risk management training and awareness programs for employees to enhance their understanding of risk-related issues and best practices.
• Support the incident management process by participating in investigations of incidents, breaches, or client complaints, analyzing root causes, and recommending actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to develop and maintain a robust risk register, tracking risks, mitigation efforts, and resolutions.
• Prepare regular risk management reports for senior management, offering insights into risk trends, mitigation efforts, and compliance status.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of risk management processes.
• Monitor changes in regulatory and compliance obligations across all jurisdictions, addressing areas of concern to the business.
• Participate in quality, process, and compliance reviews across Vialto.

What you'll need

• Minimum degree required: Bachelor's degree
• Preferred fields of study: Law or any other related field
• Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant experience
• Certification(s) required: Nil
