Senior Automation Engineer - Dynatrace

Overview

Senior Automation Engineer responsible for reducing operational toil through Dynatrace observability, automation workflows, integrations and controlled remediation.

What you'll do

• Analyze tickets and operational data to identify repetitive toil.
• Assess opportunities and build an automation backlog.
• Develop scripts and workflows using Python, PowerShell, Bash and REST APIs.
• Integrate Dynatrace with ServiceNow, cloud, CI/CD and monitoring platforms.
• Design human-gated remediation with recovery validation.
• Develop reusable automation components and runbooks.
• Measure toil reduction, automation coverage, MTTR and recurring incidents.

What you'll need

• 4+ years in IT Operations, SRE, DevOps, AIOps or Automation Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on Dynatrace experience.
• Strong operational automation and scripting experience.
• Experience analyzing incident, service request and problem tickets.
• Experience with ServiceNow or another ITSM platform.
• Experience implementing validation, error handling, logging, rollback and audit controls.
• Ability to work with operations and subject-matter expert teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dynatrace Workflows, Automation Engineer and APIs.
• Experience with Dynatrace Intelligence or Davis AI.
• Experience with cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible or CI/CD tools.
• Experience with AI/GenAI, LLM, RAG or AI-agent-based IT operations.
