Overview

Senior Celonis CoE Value Engineer role at Hitachi Energy in Bengaluru, responsible for end-to-end technical enablement of process intelligence use cases in Celonis, from data ingestion through transformation, validation and ongoing performance optimization.

What you'll do

• Design, build and maintain reliable ETL pipelines to extract, transform and load data from ERP, CRM and other enterprise systems into Celonis, ensuring stability, accuracy and scalability.
• Develop optimized data models within Celonis reflecting end-to-end business processes, enabling process mining, root-cause analysis and automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with IT and application owners to integrate data from SAP, Oracle, databases and other platforms into Celonis, aligned with architectural standards.
• Continuously monitor and improve the performance of Celonis data models and pipelines, addressing bottlenecks and implementing best practices.
• Establish and maintain data validation and cleansing mechanisms to ensure high-quality data for process mining and analytics.
• Partner with business analysts, value engineers and process owners to translate process requirements into data models and provide technical guidance for value-driven use cases.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, transformation logic and Celonis data models.
• Stay current with Celonis EMS, data engineering practices and process intelligence technologies, proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
• Support development of dashboards, action flows and automations within Celonis to drive measurable business outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• Must have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with strong proficiency in ETL, data modeling and data pipeline development.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Celonis (data integration, modeling, building views and action flows).
• Experience working with large-scale ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with major relational database systems.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for automation and data transformation.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL tools and enterprise data flows.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in data validation and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for process improvement, data integrity and high-quality analytics.
• Willingness to continuously learn evolving Celonis and data engineering capabilities.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.

Nice to have

• Strong domain knowledge in at least one SAP module.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and data orchestration concepts.
