Senior Data Analyst

Overview

Senior Data Analyst role at Ecolab focused on Power BI analytics, data modelling, and cloud data pipelines, with mentoring and cross-functional responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Provide expertise in PowerBI Analytics.
• Create data models, advanced DAX calculations, and custom measures to support business analytics needs.
• Create ELT flows, data warehousing, and Azure data pipelines.
• Stay up to date with Power BI features and best practices.
• Innovate and be creative in data analysis, problem solving and presentation of solutions.
• Work cross-functionally across teams in Advance Analytics.
• Handle outages or issues raised on Service Now in the form of tickets / incidents.
• Take additional responsibilities as and when required.
• Help train new hires in all processes and skillsets required, and mentor them.
• Coach, motivate and guide junior team members.
• Give a bi-monthly presentation on concepts and new features that can be implemented in day-to-day work.

What you'll need

• At least 5-8 years' experience in data analytics, along with a UG / PG degree.
• Good understanding of Power BI Analytics, Data Flows, SQL, Cloud Solutions (Azure) and Python.
• Build and maintain scalable data models using modern tools (e.g., Snowflake, dbt).
• Translate defined business logic into clean and reusable datasets.
• Experience in supporting analytic solution roll-outs and working across different time zones.
• Experience managing projects or working towards a deadline.
• Experience working with clients or customers, internal or external.
• Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment using design thinking methodology.
• Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization.
• Willingness to accommodate work schedules that align with onsite hours and weekend schedules.
• Upskill on new technologies to implement on the job / new business requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy.
• Ability to work with global teams across time zones.
• Clear communication skills.
• Communicate data issues, variances, and root-cause findings with clear analysis and recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience in Snowflake, MS Fabric, Tabular Editor, Paginated reports, Power Automate and dbt.
