Overview
Senior Data Scientist working with cross-functional teams to configure, deploy, and operationalise digital solutions for industrial sectors.
What you'll do
- Develop and deploy scalable solutions for customer use cases in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Power & Utilities.
- Contribute to use case generation workshops to map problems to data.
- Perform data cleansing, exploratory data analysis, and data modelling.
- Implement physical and machine learning models in Python and deploy them to a model hosting environment.
- Work on agentic AI solutions for customers' use cases.
- Collaborate with data engineers, project managers, and solution architects to deliver projects.
- Support customers and partners in conducting data science tasks with Cognite products.
What you'll need
- 6–10 years of work experience as a data scientist (preferably in a related industry).
- Proficiency with Python and SQL.
- Experience with machine learning methods and techniques, statistics and/or optimisation.
- Must have experience with agentic AI solutions.
- 6–10 years of work experience as a data scientist or domain expertise in Oil & Gas or Maintenance.
- Experience with GIT.
- Experience working customer-facing with external customers.
- Bachelor of Technology/Engineering or Master of Science in a quantitative field.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python in a production setting.
- Experience with managed cloud services such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Domain knowledge or understanding of the Oil & Gas industry.
- Enjoys working in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to deliver independently, coach, and mentor others internally.
- Enjoys challenges and setting ambitious goals that drive innovation.
- Humility to ask for help and share knowledge.
