Senior Developer

Overview

Senior Software Developers design software solutions with Business and Quality Analysts, Designers, Project Managers and others to create meaningful change for clients, while mentoring junior consultants and advocating better engineering practices.

What you'll do

• Listen to understand the context of business problems and write clean, iterative code to deliver strong end results.
• Learn and adopt best practices such as writing clean and reusable code using TDD, pair programming and design patterns.
• Use and advocate for continuous delivery practices to deliver high-quality software and value to end customers as early as possible.
• Work in collaborative, value-driven teams to build innovative customer experiences for clients.
• Create large-scale distributed systems out of microservices.
• Collaborate with teammates to build features, design concepts and interactive prototypes, embedding best practices and UX specifications.
• Apply the latest technology thinking from the Technology Radar to solve client problems.
• Efficiently utilize DevSecOps tools and practices to build and deploy software, advocating devops culture and shifting security left.
• Oversee or take part in the entire cycle of software consulting and delivery, from ideation to deployment.
• Act as a mentor for less-experienced peers through technical knowledge and leadership skills.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience, leveraging deep OOP principles to design scalable, maintainable enterprise systems.
• Hands-on exposure to AI-based development, including working closely with AI agents to generate and develop code, enhance developer productivity, perform detailed code reviews, and oversee production deployments.
• Ability to skillfully write high-quality, well-tested code and comfort with Object-Oriented programming.
• Comfort with Agile methodologies such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Good awareness of TDD, continuous integration and continuous delivery approaches/tools.
• Enjoy influencing others and advocate for technical excellence while being open to change when needed.
• Resilient in ambiguous situations and able to approach challenges from multiple perspectives.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Presence in the external tech community: sharing expertise via speaking engagements, open source contributions, blogs and more.
