Sr Developer

Overview

Develop AI-enabled applications, developer tooling, platform services, and engineering frameworks that accelerate organizational adoption of artificial intelligence. Work across platform and application layers with engineering, product, and data science teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant AI solutions.

What you'll do

• Implement AI-enabled applications, developer tooling, platform services, and engineering frameworks.
• Develop and scale AI-powered capabilities across the enterprise.
• Deliver scalable, secure, and compliant AI solutions.
• Build working knowledge of TransUnion’s products, data assets, services, and technology ecosystem.
• Apply modern cloud-native architectures and AI-assisted development practices to support engineering effectiveness and delivery speed.
• Follow established engineering standards.
• Contribute to AI feature development.
• Help integrate AI capabilities into TransUnion’s technology landscape under the guidance of senior engineers and technical leads.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including developing enterprise-scale applications or platforms.
• Exposure to AI/ML or Generative AI concepts, with willingness to build and deploy AI-powered solutions in production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, APIs, and event-driven platforms.
• Software development proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, Go, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within technical teams.
• Willingness to learn and work in regulated, security-conscious, and data-intensive environments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience working within credit reporting, financial services, fintech, identity, fraud, risk, or data analytics industries.
• Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic AI architectures, vector databases, or orchestration frameworks.
• Experience contributing to AI platforms, developer tools, internal AI assistants, or AI governance solutions.
• Awareness of MLOps platforms and model lifecycle management concepts.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, container orchestration, and platform engineering frameworks.
• Awareness of responsible AI, AI governance, and regulatory compliance concepts.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Amazon Q, or equivalent platforms.
• Cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Details

• Location: Bengaluru.
• Hybrid position requiring regular virtual work and in-person work at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
