Senior DevOps Engineer, Actimize (BFSI Domain,AWS)

Overview

Senior DevOps Engineer on the PaaS/SaaS development group of Actimize's AI and Analytics Team, building the next-generation cloud analytical platform for financial crime solutions.

What you'll do

• Participate in the design and implementation of major shared infrastructure components to improve the availability and scalability of services
• Implement and improve CI/CD infrastructure and practices
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure customer success
• Build tooling and automation to increase the accessibility of the platform and the velocity of product engineering teams
• Implement and improve system monitoring, alerting and observability
• Build and maintain highly available systems
• Pitch ideas and continuously innovate, taking the team and project to the next level
• Drive regular communication to senior management, including roadmaps, progress reports, risks and change requests
• Work and collaborate in multi-disciplinary Agile teams, adopting Agile spirit, methodology and tools

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant course
• 4-8 years of experience working in a DevOps role for AWS
• Strong proficiency in creating and managing CI/CD infrastructure using Jenkins and Terraform
• Automation for build and deployment pipelines supporting infrastructure deployment in multiple AWS regions
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• In-depth, hands-on experience with AWS, with good understanding of AWS networking
• Experience working in and driving Continuous Integration and Delivery practices using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes and Artifactory
• Extensive exposure to DevOps practices and tools, especially Terraform and Jenkins
• Good understanding of software development best practices, from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architectures
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD technologies
• Experience with large, complex data ecosystems and data quality and lifecycle issues
• Problem-solving, troubleshooting and bug-fixing skills
• Experience working on a Scrum team in an Agile delivery environment
• Demonstrated proactiveness and ownership
• Experience delivering applications that are performant, resilient and efficient from cost and operations perspectives
• Good understanding of Cloud Security and Cloud Costing
• Technical skills: Terraform, basics of Ansible; Jenkins; AWS; GitHub; Python, Unix Shell Script, PowerShell; VPCs, routing, DNS, Transit Gateways, Load Balancers; Kubernetes, Docker; Linux and Windows

Nice to have

• Prior experience with SaaS, PaaS and IaC development
• Helm for containers
• Experience with multi-region deployment on AWS
• Experience with cost optimization on AWS

• Location: Pune, India
• Work mode: NiCE-FLEX hybrid model, 2 days from the office and 3 days remote each week
• Reporting into: Group Manager; individual contributor role
