Senior DevOps Engineer - GCP & AWS

Overview

Senior DevOps Engineer role focused on designing and operating secure, scalable, production-grade cloud platforms, with emphasis on GCP-native services, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, and cloud governance. Works closely with engineering teams, architects and clients to deliver highly available, cost-optimized, and compliant systems.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Design and operate secure, scalable, production-grade cloud platforms.
• Work closely with engineering teams, architects and clients to deliver highly available, cost-optimized, and compliant systems.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles.
• Strong production experience with GCP; willingness to learn and work across other cloud or hybrid environments as needed.
• Deep hands-on experience designing and managing Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong expertise in designing and securing GCP network architectures, including Shared VPCs, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud NAT, Cloud Armor, and VPC Service Controls.
• Strong experience with GKE (must-have) and serverless containers such as Cloud Run.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Proven expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash to build tailored automation solutions, integrate APIs, and develop custom tooling.
• Experience working with serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding and hands-on production experience implementing observability solutions including logging, metrics and alerting using cloud-native or open-source tools.
• Hands-on experience of identity, access management and governance in GCP IAM & Admin, Service Accounts, and Workload Identity.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux based cloud virtual machines, including Cloud Identity, AD integration, storage, networking, backup, performance optimization, access control, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing and managing databases, with knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL and MS SQL.
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on experience in incident management, including conducting root cause analysis.
• Good communication skills with experience interacting with clients.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AWS or Azure; willingness to learn and work across other cloud or hybrid environments.
• Experience of configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Exposure to EKS, AKS, ECS.
• Certifications in AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
