Senior DevOps Engineer - GCP & AWS

Overview

Senior DevOps Engineer to lead end-to-end cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, designing and operating secure, scalable, production-grade cloud platforms with emphasis on GCP-native services, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability and cloud governance.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Design and operate secure, scalable, production-grade cloud platforms with emphasis on GCP-native services, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability and cloud governance.
• Work closely with engineering teams, architects and clients to deliver highly available, cost-optimized and compliant systems.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles.
• Strong production experience with GCP.
• Willingness to learn and work across other cloud or hybrid environments as needed.
• Deep hands-on experience in designing and managing Terraform based infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong expertise in designing and securing GCP network architectures, including Shared VPCs, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud NAT, Cloud Armor and VPC Service Controls.
• Strong experience with container orchestration platforms such as GKE (must-have) and serverless containers like Cloud Run.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Proven expertise in scripting languages like Python, Go or Bash to build tailored automation solutions, integrate APIs and develop custom tooling.
• Experience working with serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding and hands-on production experience of implementing observability solutions including logging, metrics and alerting using cloud native or open source tools.
• Hands-on experience of identity, access management and governance in GCP IAM & Admin, Service Accounts and Workload Identity.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux based cloud virtual machines, including Cloud Identity, AD integration, storage, networking, backup, performance optimization, access control, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing and managing databases, with knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL and MS SQL.
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on experience in incident management, conducting root cause analysis.
• Good communication skills with experience interacting with clients.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AWS or Azure.
• Experience of configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Exposure to EKS, AKS or ECS.
• Certifications in AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform or Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
