Senior DevOps Engineer - Azure

Overview

Lead end-to-end cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, focused on designing and operating secure, scalable, production-grade cloud platforms with an emphasis on Azure-native services, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability and cloud governance.

What you'll do

• Design and operate secure, scalable, production-grade cloud platforms.
• Work closely with engineering teams and clients to deliver highly available, cost-optimized and compliant systems.
• Manage Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning.
• Design and secure Azure network architectures.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Build tailored automation solutions, integrate APIs and develop custom tooling.
• Administer Windows and Linux cloud virtual machines, including AD integration, storage, networking, backup, performance optimization, access control, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Design and manage databases.
• Lead incident management and conduct root cause analysis.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles.
• Strong production experience with Azure, with willingness to learn and work across other cloud or hybrid environments as needed.
• Deep hands-on experience designing and managing Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong expertise in designing and securing Azure network architectures, including Hub-and-Spoke topologies, Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), Private Link, Application Gateway and Azure Firewall.
• Strong knowledge and experience with container orchestration platforms such as AKS.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Proven expertise in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Go or Bash.
• Experience working with serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding and hands-on production experience implementing observability solutions, including logging, metrics and alerting using cloud-native or open-source tools.
• Hands-on experience with identity, access management and enterprise governance in Azure using Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Management Groups and Azure Policy.
• Experience designing and managing databases, with knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL and MS SQL.
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on experience in incident management, conducting root cause analysis.
• Good communication skills with experience interacting with clients.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure as code and configuration management tools such as Bicep/ARM and Ansible.
• Strong production experience with AWS or GCP.
• Exposure to EKS, GKE or ECS.
• Exposure to Azure Container Apps.
• Certifications in Azure, AWS, GCP, Terraform or Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity utilizing GitHub Copilot or Azure DevOps AI features to accelerate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development and script automation.
