Senior DevOps Engineer (Contract)

Overview

Senior DevOps Engineer (Contract) for TechnologyAdvice, operating as an individual contributor on a distributed team in a remote-first setup in India.

What you'll do

• Own and continuously improve cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities.
• Identify and deliver improvements to system reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code.
• Build automation and self-service capabilities to reduce repetitive operational work.
• Improve Kubernetes/container-based infrastructure and standardize deployment and operations.
• Own and evolve CI/CD and GitOps workflows for quick, consistent, and safe releases.
• Lead incident investigations and drive systemic improvements after complex production incidents.

What you'll need

• Demonstrated ability to independently identify infrastructure/operational problems and root causes.
• Proven track record owning business-critical production infrastructure and complex platform initiatives.
• Deep experience designing, operating, and improving highly available cloud production systems.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Experience managing infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
• Experience improving production observability via monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
