Senior DevOps / Release Engineer

Overview

The Senior DevOps / Release Engineer handles software build and deployment from development to production, improving platform engineering, release, and operational reliability.

What you'll do

• Strengthen build, deployment, release, and operational reliability practices across software delivery teams.
• Focus on automation, release quality, environment consistency, observability, and production reliability.
• Help improve delivery speed and stability for engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues and isolate production problems.
• Understand and modify build and deployment scripts and processes as needed.
• Own release readiness, release coordination, versioning, and environment promotion/rollback planning.
• Communicate critical system information and provide deployment task statuses to other teams.

What you'll need

• 6+ years’ experience in DevOps.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, operating, and improving CI/CD pipelines and build automation.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform, Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, or a comparable automation/system programming language.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management using Terraform/OpenTofu/Ansible (or equivalents).
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps platforms such as GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins/Argo CD/Flux (or equivalents).
• Strong monitoring/alerting/logs/metrics/distributed tracing knowledge using tools such as OpenTelemetry/Prometheus/Grafana (or equivalents).
