Overview

Senior Engineer - Firmware responsible for developing quality software applications and embedded products, with a focus on industrial communication protocols, Linux programming, and FPGA programming using Xilinx tools.

What you'll do

• Develop quality software applications.
• Develop embedded software and products.
• Use industrial communication protocols including BACNet, Modbus, TCP/IP, HTTP, Modbus-TCP, DNP, BACNetIP, and websockets.
• Apply operating system and RTOS concepts, multithreading, and IPC concepts.
• Develop Linux shell scripting, Makefiles, and application programming.
• Use the Linux programming interface.
• Use C++ in products.
• Use Xilinx tools and perform FPGA programming.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, E&TC, or instrumentation engineering.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Strong experience handling Xilinx tools.
• Proficiency in FPGA programming.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols including BACNet, Modbus, TCP/IP, HTTP, Modbus-TCP, DNP, BACNetIP, and websockets.
• Hands-on experience developing quality software applications.
• Knowledge and experience with operating system/RTOS concepts, multithreading, and IPC concepts.
• Knowledge and experience developing Linux shell scripting, Makefiles, and application programming.
• Working knowledge of the Linux programming interface.
• Experience in embedded programming.
• Extensive experience using C++ in products.
• Sound understanding of operating systems, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Good communication skills in English, verbal and written, to communicate information effectively to customers and technical staff.
