Senior Engineer, Functional Testing

Overview

Senior QA Engineer role in the TCOS (Train Control Office Suite) team within the Signaling & Systems P&L under the Digital Intelligence group. Responsible for validating software quality using functional, regression, integration, and automation testing across the SDLC.

What you'll do

• Understand requirements and design and execute detailed functional and regression test cases.
• Support regression testing and contribute to integration, functional, and automation test coverage.
• Apply QA methodologies, quality engineering practices, and CI/CD-based testing practices.
• Work with developers, QA leads, architects, and product managers to identify risks, clarify requirements, and validate fixes.
• Execute quality gates by providing test status, defect trends, and risk callouts with evidence.
• Log and triage defects with reproduction steps and evidence; participate in root-cause analysis discussions.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in both manual and automation testing for enterprise-grade software products.
• Knowledge of QA methodology and industry-standard testing and bug tracking tools.
• Experience with API-based automation and UI automation tools such as Robot Framework, Eggplant, Ranorex, or Selenium (desired).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD to support continuous automation and deployment.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Exposure to tools like Jenkins and should have experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in specified fields (Electrical & Electronics, E&TC, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or equivalent).
