Overview
Senior Engineer for Manufacturing Engineering focused on sputter process startup/conversion, monitoring, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
What you'll do
- Plan, coordinate, and follow up sputter systems startup/conversion activities and process documentation.
- Audit sputter parameters and conduct periodic practice including online SPC and procedure conformance.
- Troubleshoot sputter process issues and collaborate with shift process teams for sustaining, improvement, and utilization/yield/quality goals.
- Lead sputter process improvement projects related to SU/STT/Cost/Quality/PPH and new product/machine/process qualification.
- Lead/supervise/coach/train process tech, engineering specialists, and characterize technicians.
- Monitor sputter parameters including online SPC monitoring and procedure conformance.
- Lead sputter machine startup with process characterization, including for new products and process changes; support FMEA.
What you'll need
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering.
- Have 1–3 years of professional working experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
- Possess strong foundational knowledge of semiconductor or thin-film manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrate proficient English communication skills (spoken and written).
- Show strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Provide leadership and team supervision experience.
- Have technical documentation and process characterization expertise.
Nice to have
- Have advanced coursework or thesis research in vacuum technology.
- Have research or professional experience with magnetic thin-film deposition and characterization.
- Have research experience from recognized academic or industrial institutions.
