Overview
Senior Engineer for system engineering across Solar, BESS, and Hybrid Plant Control System projects, covering detailed engineering through validation and commissioning.
What you'll do
- Lead complete project execution for Solar, Battery energy storage system (BESS), and Hybrid Plant Control System projects.
- Perform detailed engineering, EPC work, and inverter & plant controls software validation including FAT/SAT/HIL and commissioning.
- Own technical single-point-of-contact responsibilities for customer and project manager.
- Develop and coordinate balance-of-plant technical deliverables including drawings, schematics, layouts, relay protection/control requirements, and LV/HV equipment layouts.
- Manage engineering project activities including schedule development/updates, design review planning and tracking, quality control/assurance, and contractor management.
- Drive reliability/performance enhancements, define processes, run RCAs, and validate process control.
- Prepare documentation for installation, commissioning, and operations for internal and customer use.
What you'll need
- Minimum 15+ years of technical experience leading large scale EPC/detailed engineering and site experience.
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical/electronics/instrumentation/controls engineering or related science from an accredited college/university.
- Expertise in solar, energy storage, plant-level systems, inverters/transformers/RMU/BOP validation and integration.
- Experience with grid code compliance across multiple regions including Australian grid code, PLQ & AEMO, UK, USA, Europe/Germany/Italy, Turkey, and India.
- Knowledge of interpreting power system design outputs including SLDs, protection/co-ordination, load flow and fault studies, arc flash, transient scenario analysis, and harmonic calculations.
- Familiarity with GE MarkVIe product/tools including Toolbox ST, Workstation ST, Cimplicity (SCADA), P80i, HDM, and Simulink.
- Experience in communication network equipment functionality, software features, and hardware & cyber security.
