Senior Power Systems Engineer (APAC)

Overview

Senior Power Systems Engineer for APAC, delivering power system studies and technical support for grid integration projects from initiation to final reporting.

What you'll do

• Execute steady-state and dynamic power system studies such as load flow, contingency, short-circuit, and stability analyses.
• Develop and maintain network models using PSS®E and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Define study assumptions, scenarios, and contingencies, and interpret results to identify constraints and stability risks.
• Perform technical assessments covering generator/converter model validation, dynamic model tuning, and mitigation strategies.
• Lead study tasks with independence, coordinate internally, and guide junior engineers when needed.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to internal teams and clients.

What you'll need

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering (Power Systems or related).
• Typically 8+ years of experience in power system studies.
• Experience in grid connection, transmission planning, or renewable integration projects.
• Strong experience across load flow, contingency, short-circuit, power quality, voltage stability, and RMS stability studies.
• Expertise in developing and validating dynamic power system models and troubleshooting modelling issues.
• Practical experience with renewable integration (solar, wind, BESS) and/or HVDC or converter-based resources.
