Electrical Engineer

Overview

Electrical Engineer role contributing to Process Automation for Operation Centers and Quality in Chennai, India, supporting electrical system engineering for industrial projects.

What you'll do

• Act as a design authority for an electrical engineering discipline.
• Complete engineering assignments for small or portions of larger projects cost-effectively.
• Perform basic and detailed engineering and provide optimized electrical system solutions.
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs) including auxiliary AC/DC and protection SLDs.
• Develop design calculations for transformer, battery/UPS, DG, VFD, earthing, cables, lighting, lightning, capacitor banks, and CT/PT sizing.
• Conduct power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and harmonics analysis.
• Develop schematics and block logic diagrams for control/protection panels and MV/LV switchgear.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3-8 years of relevant experience for Project Engineer.
• Experience as Project Engineer on at least 2-4 large size projects.
• Pre-bid engineering and bid & proposal exposure is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in engineering/design tools for calculations (e.g., earthing and lighting calculation tools).
• Strong technical leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
