Electrical Design Engineer

Overview

Electrical Design Engineer to design and implement electrical systems for airport, infrastructure, and building projects, producing key electrical documentation and analyses.

What you'll do

• Design and implement electrical systems for airport, infrastructure, and building projects.
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams and Panel Schedules.
• Select electrical equipment such as transformers and switchboards.
• Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit analyses, and fault current calculations.
• Carry out lighting level and voltage drop calculations.
• Review shop drawings and develop/maintain design documentation, specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering within buildings.
• Solid experience designing Fire Alarm and life safety systems.
• Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD (Revit MEP and AutoCAD mentioned; stated as an asset).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external client interactions.
• Strong project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working on projects with North America is highly desirable.
