Engineer/Sr Engineer- Ergonomics

Overview

Engineer/Sr Engineer - Ergonomics plans and delivers ergonomic virtual assessments for vehicle programs, using digital human modeling to identify risks and recommend design or process changes.

What you'll do

• Plan, execute, and deliver ergonomic virtual assessments across the GVDP cycle for new and major global vehicle programs.
• Use 3D Digital Human Modeling (DHM) and virtual assessments to identify ergonomic risks.
• Analyze assembly operations and interpret ergonomic standards to recommend design or process changes.
• Coordinate closure of ergonomic issues with design, manufacturing, and plant ergonomics teams.
• Lead or support ergonomics initiatives and projects to improve methods, standards, and tools.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and status updates on ergonomic studies.
• Collaborate with manufacturing/compartment engineers to ensure ergonomic requirements are implemented.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s Engineering degree in IE/Mech or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in Automotive industrial engineering.
• Process knowledge in General Assembly.
• Experience with PLM and virtual tools including Teamcenter, Vismock, and Process Simulate Ergo (strong advantage).
• Proficiency with CAD and digital tools such as AutoCAD, NX/UG or similar.
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute engineering/ergonomics projects independently and in teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to turn results into actionable recommendations.

Details

• Work arrangement is hybrid; expected to report to the office four times per week or as dictated by the business.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required to support plants and global teams.
