Structural Design Engineer - Gas Insulated Switchgear

Overview

Structural Design Engineer for Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) supporting steel structural engineering deliverables for customer submissions and manufacturing documentation.

What you'll do

• Develop project-specific engineering documents and drawings for GIS steel support structures.
• Prepare Tekla models and GA/fabrication drawings for GIS steel support structures above 66kV.
• Perform related structural design activities using Staadpro.
• Prepare customer project-specific civil plans including GIS loading inputs.
• Conduct self-review and peer review of project documents.
• Coordinate to deliver designs on time with quality and update documentation per quality process.

What you'll need

• 3–5 years of experience in Civil & Structural Engineering with a B.E.
• Hands-on experience with Tekla, Navisworks, and other modelling software.
• Familiarity with applicable structural modelling & detailing standards (Indian/American/European/Canadian etc.).
• Knowledge of HSE standards such as OSHA and DIN.
• Knowledge of tools like AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Knowledge of galvanization and painting procedures.
• Team-player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
