System Studies Engineer

Overview

System Studies Engineer for Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) projects/tenders aligned with Power Quality Solutions (PQS).

What you'll do

• Create and validate power system equivalents in RMS (PSSE/DIgSILENT) and EMT (PSCAD/EMTP).
• Develop and maintain control algorithms for FACTS applications.
• Run dynamic performance studies in RMS and EMT with FACTS devices integrated in power networks.
• Develop FACTS solution models across multiple RMS and EMT software packages.
• Coordinate and communicate with other disciplines for project and tender delivery.
• Support research and development activities and participate in customer discussions.

What you'll need

• MTech or PhD in Power Systems, or B.E/B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in grid integration studies for converter-based applications (e.g., FACTS, HVDC, wind, solar, battery storage).
• Knowledge of simulation tools including PSCAD/PSSE/DIgSILENT/EMTP/RTDS/MATLAB.
• Knowledge of international standards (IEEE/IEC/GIGRE) for power system study specifications.
• Understanding of power system steady state, dynamic, and transient behavior.
• Proficiency in spoken & written English.
