Software Engineer I

Overview

Software Engineer I is responsible for full-scope development work, including enhancements, defect resolution, and assigned technical tasks.

What you'll do

• Define and implement technical solutions for defects and basic enhancements with minimal supervision.
• Apply analytical and critical thinking with attention to detail.
• Provide estimation input for solutions and work items.
• Develop and implement testing approaches, including automation where appropriate.
• Prepare code comments, impact assessments, and supporting technical documentation.
• Work independently and collaboratively across the team.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders, including customers as needed.

What you'll need

• 2-4 years of experience in software development.
• Web development skills: HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Strong SQL experience.
• Object-oriented programming language experience (e.g., .NET - C# or VB, Java, C++).
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to participate in calls for item resolution if necessary.
• Ability to travel up to 25% (travel is minimal).

Nice to have

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Experience with Visual Studio, MS Office, and Scrum/agile tools (JIRA).
