Senior Engineer - Test firmware

Overview

Senior Engineer role focused on test automation and firmware validation for UPS platform products, including embedded and application software.

What you'll do

• Define end-to-end test approaches for the UPS platform, covering system, firmware, and integration testing.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and test data sets for UPS functional, performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated system test suites using Python-based frameworks.
• Support test infrastructure setup, maintenance, and enhancements, including simulators, communication interfaces, and hardware test rigs.
• Perform firmware validation for communication layers, system states, and control-algorithm interactions.
• Analyze system behavior and collaborate with firmware and hardware engineers to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, results, and defect closure.

What you'll need

• 5–7 years of experience in software/firmware testing or embedded system test development.
• 2+ years validating high-quality embedded products, preferably in power electronics/critical power solutions.
• 1+ years of HIL testing experience using OPAL-RT or similar platforms.
• 1+ years developing automation using Python.
• Experience implementing a System Automation Test Framework for complex embedded systems.
• Experience with Python-based automation frameworks such as Robot Framework or PyTest.
